Research is finding more links between consumption of sugary snacks and beverages and obesity. Now Coca-Cola funds an anti-diet weight loss agenda aimed at teaching people that lack of exercise causes fat, not sugar. CBS News reported August 11, that Coca-Cola provided $1.5 million in seed money for a non-profit Global Energy Balance Network. The goal ostensibly is to promote fitness, but in so doing, it downplays the role of diet in weight problems. No, no silly Coke, it's exercise you can skip, NOT diet.
